Doug Crossett, Owner~ CEO
Local Ties: Pleasantville High School, Former Pleasantville Resident & Current Katonah Resident

Since he took a part time job bartending during college, Doug has been fascinated with the hospitality industry and the many challenges it has to offer. Currently the owner of Satisfied Customer's Incorporated, comprised of Michael’s Tavern, McArthur's American Grille and Oliver's in Katonah, Doug has been blessed to spend the last 39 years working at a job that he loves and can share with the entire community. "What I like most about the restaurant-bar business is its ability to provide a place for the community to come together. Oliver's is the perfect place for families to relax and enjoy a great meal and adults to enjoy a drink after a long day at work. Michael's Tavern is the ideal location for the entire town to celebrate after the big high school football game and McArthur's is just the spot for Mom and Dad to have a quiet evening of wine and conversation without all the distractions of our often too hectic lives. I love that am able to provide for my family by providing a fun, family atmosphere for the entire community."

Nancy Crossett, Owner ~CFO
Local Ties: Pleasantville High School, Former Pleasantville Resident & Current Katonah Resident

A graduate of Endicott College in Beverly, Mass, Nancy is responsible for all the financial and human resource activities of our three locations. Additionally, she maintains primary responsibility for the day-to-day operations at Oliver’s in Katonah and leads the interior design work for each new location. A part of building Satisfied Customers Inc. from the beginning, Nancy is excited about the recent expansion of her role and leadership, “I’ve been involved directly and indirectly with this company for the last 30 years and I’m thrilled to be taking a more formal role in its growth and development now. I love that we are able to operate family friendly businesses in the beautiful communities that Doug and I have called home for our entire lives. It is truly an honor to serve and enjoy the company our neighbors and friends.”

Favorite Menu Item: Southwestern Shrimp Wrap and, of course, a glass of Chardonnay with ice!


 

Chef Liz McMahon, Company Executive Chef
Local Ties: Orange County Resident

Executive Chef Elizabeth McMahon was introduced to the wonders of the culinary world early, when she took her first part time job during high school at The Coven Café, in Nyack. After graduating from the New York Restaurant School in Manhattan, Liz spent the next decade merging her love of food and travel working up and down the East Coast from New England to the Florida Keys.  In the late 80’s Liz took her culinary talents in a more corporate direction, working in the menu and product development divisions of Turco’s and Compass Group USA. With her young family growing, she and husband Tom welcomed son Ryan in 2004, Liz took a more traditional sales position with the Thomas O. Miller Food Company. Through sales Liz was able to both immensely broaden her products knowledge and work with Chefs all over the Tri-State area developing new menu items and coaching them to make their kitchens stronger in all aspects of service. It was in this role, that Liz first became acquainted with Satisfied Customers Inc., serving as one of our most trusted food purveyors and saleswomen for almost four years. In the Spring of 2011, Liz was looking to return to her creative passion for food and as luck would have it, we found ourselves in need of a new company Executive Chef. Liz signed with SCI in May and has been on the go reworking our menus, developing new menu items and overseeing the day-to-day operations in all three of our Westchester locations. “ I enjoy working at Satisfied Customers Inc for the diversity that comes with multiple locations. It always keeps me on the go and things interesting!”

Joe Utscig, SCI Company General Manager
Local Ties: Westlake High School

A star baseball player at Westlake High School, Joe first began working at Michael’s Tavern in October 2002. Starting as a bar back, Joe quickly worked his way up to head bartender and eventual manager. After taking a break from the food service industry to work with his family construction company, Joe returned to Satisfied Customers Inc in January 2009 to serve as SCI Company General Manager. Currently, Joe fills a variety of positions at all three of our locations and is involved in the overall management and running of the company as well as maintaining his on the floor presence to our staff and customers’ benefit. “I enjoy working for SCI for the flexible hours and, mostly, for the amazing customers we serve. There is nothing better than being able to come to work and have fun while helping other people to have a good time too!”

Carlos Carpio, Head Chef of Michael's Tavern,
Company Vendor Consultant and Inventory Processor

Local Ties: Twenty year resident of Ossining

Carlos has been a member of the Satisfied Customers Incorporated family for almost 15 years. He began at Michael's Tavern as a dish washer and soon moved over to the grill station as an assistant and then head chef. After two years at Michael's, Carlos moved up to work with Scott in the opening of The Katonah Grill and has been a fixture in the kitchen there for the past decade. Today, Carlos is in charge of the management of the company's largest kitchen and assists with the culinary affairs of our two other stores. At Michael's, Carlos' main responsibilities include managing the kitchen staff and food preparation, pricing, ordering, inventory control, maintaining the high safety regulations and food sanitation standards, consulting with vendors about new products and, most importantly, making sure that every meal that leaves his kitchen is of the best quality for our customers. Carlos enjoys working at SCI because of its friendly atmosphere and helpful staff. "The owners are always available to listen to new suggestions and motivate the staff so that we can move the company forward together."

Kelly O’Hagan Hannon, Scheduling Manager 
Local Ties: Briarcliff High School and Mercy College

Kelly began working for Satisfied Customers Inc in 2001 as a hostess and it was immediately clear that her warm personality and strong work ethic made her a natural in the hospitality industry! Quickly advancing to become one of the company's best waitresses/bartenders, Kelly became the Assistant Manager at Michael's Tavern in 2006. In December 2007, after the birth of her first son, Charlie, Kelly moved down the road to manage the wait staff at McArthur's American Grille and oversaw front of house operations at both Pleasantville locations for the next few years. She is currently based out of our Katonah location, Oliver’s, and works on scheduling and new staff training. Also working toward her Nursing degree, Kelly is newly married to fellow manager Mike Hannon and the two are expecting their second son early in 2012. She enjoys working at Satisfied Customer's, for the home life balance she has been able to cultivate and the genuine pleasure of having the opportunity to make other people happy.

Mike Hannon, Bar Manager of McArthur's American Grille
Local Ties: Pace University

As a star athlete on the Pace University Football team, Mike began working his senior year as a bouncer at Michael’s.  With his continued hard work and dedication he moved up the ranks to bartender then Bar Manager of Michael’s and most recently, down Manville Road to work as the Bar Manager at McArthur’s American Grille. His tasks include overseeing the daily pub room activities, hiring and promoting bands, training bar and floor staff as well as working with our general management team on our constantly changing seasonal menu and drink specialties. A certified Physical Education instructor, Mike also currently works in education in the Bronx. He is newly married to fellow manager Kelly O’Hagan Hannon and the couple, who already have a beautiful three-year-old son, Charlie, are expecting their second son in early 2012. Mike enjoys working for Satisfied Customers Inc because “everyone hangs out even when they aren’t working, we are like one big family.”

Rob Nugent, Dining Room Manager at McArthur's
Local Ties: Pleasantville High School

Initially working as a server and bartender during high school and college, Rob returns to SCI in his new role as the Dining Room Manager at McArthur’s American Grille. In this new position, Rob will oversee all front of house service and work with Chef Liz to bring amazing culinary experiences to our valuable McArthur’s customers. “ I enjoy working in the restaurant industry for the abiality to develop relationships with guests that go beyond just serving them to building actual friendships. I especially love SCI for family atmosphere with fellow staff members and generally fun work environment.”

BreanneMignano Subin, Dining Room Manager at Oliver's
Local Ties: Katonah Resident

Recommended by a friend of her family’s, Breanne has worked for Satisfied Customers Inc. for over 8 years at several of our locations. Initially hired as a member of the wait staff, Breanne has risen to become one of the most skilled and trusted members of SCI’s front of house team and is excited to be taking on the new challenge of managing our largest location. “I enjoy working at this company for several reasons but mostly the people. I love that most of the staff has been working together for so many years that we are all close friends and also love when a "regular" walks in they can know at least five people in the place at any given time.” As a new wife and mother to her adorable son, Mikey, Breanne also enjoys being a team member at SCI for the “extremely flexible hours and respect for family life outside work.”

Ricky Bohlander, Pub Room Manager of Oliver's
Local Ties: John Jay High School

A stand-out 3-sport athlete at John Jay, Ricky first came to work for Satisfied Customers Inc in the winter of 2004. Starting first as a bar back and bouncer during school breaks, Ricky was eventually promoted to bartender at the Katonah Grill. His friendly demeanor and outgoing personality made him an instant hit behind the bar and in 2009, Ricky he was promoted to pub room manager at Oliver’s responsible for ordering, vendor relations and staff management of our busy 30+ seat pub room. Currently, studying Engineering at Manhattan College, Ricky enjoys working for the company for his ability to balance school & work and mainly for the opportunity to work with the “amazing staff!”

Kelly Crossett, Restaurant Consultant
Local Ties: John Jay High School

Kelly literally grew-up in the restaurant, regularly accompanying her parents to work from an early age. She would beg to go to work with Dad on the weekends and at the age of 9 she took her first turn waitressing when a snow storm prevented any employees from making it to work on Sunday but some locals braved the weather and wanted to eat. Doug cooked while Kelly “played” waitress helping the customers. It was a great, albeit funny, first shift. Kelly worked in all company front of house positions throughout high school and in summers during college. Following graduation from Loyola College in Maryland, Kelly committed two years to public service through the Teach for America program teaching inner city youth in Washington, DC. In 2008, Kelly was looking to return to the hospitality industry, and joined Washington’s prestigious Susan Gage Catering Company, completing a year-long fellowship learning the ins and outs of catering at the political events, parties and meetings of DC. After spending some time back at Satisfied Customers Inc, Kelly moved to New York City and is currently working full time at Myriad Restaurant Group in Manhattan. She also maintains a part-time relationship with SCI, consulting on a variety of projects from staff training to social media integration.
